FAQs
Infrared saunas provide the same wide array of proven mental and physical health benefits that traditional saunas offer, plus additional benefit to skin, joint, and mitochondrial health! Please visit our Infrared Saunas landing page http://thecovesauna.com/services/infrared-saunas/ to learn more!
The Cove houses 5 Clearlight infrared saunas, with different models, temperature ranges, and unique features. Unique features include red light therapy, healing salt mist, a vibrating bench, a lounge chair, and additional heaters to make the sauna able to get as hot as any infrared sauna on the market! Additionally, our saunas have window slots and bluetooth capability so that you can bring your phone in and watch a show or listen to your own music as you sweat! Finally, as Clearlight models, our saunas are free of VOCs, offer the lowest and safest EMF/ELF levels of any infrared sauna on the market, provide full-spectrum infrared heat for maximum health benefits, and are the only infrared saunas on the market to provide the benefits of both carbon and ceramic far infrared heaters. Please visit our Infrared Saunas landing page http://thecovesauna.com/services/infrared-saunas/ to learn more!
Yes, especially here at The Cove where we are proud to say our IR saunas produce no VOCs and the lowest EMF/ELF levels on the market. But of course, just like traditional saunas, the heat is a (healthy hormetic) stress on your body, so it is important to remain within your limits and stay hydrated.
Like saunas, cold plunges offer a powerful set of mental and physical health benefits, explained in more detail on our Cold Plunge landing page http://thecovesauna.com/services/cold-plunges/
The Cove houses 5 state-of-the-art cold plunges from RedWoodOutdoors. The plunges offer a comfy amount of space and range in temperature so that you can pick your level of challenge. Each plunge contains a built-in filter and UV sanitation system, is cleaned daily, and has its water replaced regularly.
Like saunas, cold plunges are entirely safe for healthy people, though people with certain medical conditions should exercise caution. As always, please know your limits. Time in the plunge should be limited to 5 or less minutes.
Yes! We have two hot tubs (1-2 person capacity) set to 104 degrees.
Our gym area houses cable machines, exercise bikes, shoulder press, bench press, fly, lat pulldown, smith machines, and row machines, utilizing either plate-loaded or pneumatic resistance, as well as medicine balls, adjustable dumbbells, an Inbody body composition analyzer and much more.
Red Light Therapy utilizes specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to simulate cellular functioning and healing. The light penetrates the skin to reduce oxidative stress, activate reparative and regenerative healing pathways, and be absorbed by the mitochondria to boost ATP (cellular energy) production. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, boosts blood flow and nutrient-delivery, and of course is amazing for skin! As always, please take a look at the landing page http://thecovesauna.com/services/red-light-therapy/ to learn more!
Vibrational Resonance Therapy simulates the meditative experience of a sound bath, vibrating the sauna bench as you sweat and filling the sauna with trance-inducing tones to create a truly tranquil atmosphere.
Also known as salt therapy, halotherapy utilizes healing salts to support a variety of health conditions. Our halotherapy-equipped sauna sprays a mist of these therapeutic salts to be both inhaled and absorbed through the skin, providing cleared airways, skin healing, and reduced inflammation.
Yes! We also have leg compression boots! Leg compression feels like a massage while boosting blood flow and circulation, making it a powerful tool in reducing soreness and recovery time after things like skiing, hiking, running, or leg day.
We are open from noon to 9pm, 6 days a week. We are closed on Tuesdays as well as major holidays and small stretches of the holiday season.

We also strongly recommend trying all of the different saunas to find your favorite! Lastly, we recommend starting your visit with a sauna and ending your visit with either a sauna or hot tub to assure your body is fully warmed back up.
